Visit Yuma presents Ag to Art Farmer’s Market: Feeding the Body and Soul. The market is going to roam Yuma County; our fourth stop is at Sanguinetti Park, in Somerton, on Sunday, Feb 2nd, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
They are looking for vendors, for agriculture and arts products. Free booth spaces are available. For participation and inquiries email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us 928-376-0100.
Here’s how you can be involved:
Have a booth to sell your goods if you sell anything related to farm produce or made from fresh, grown items. This include homemade soap, fresh eggs, herbs and spices, dried fruits, fresh vegetables, baked goods, dog treats etc.
Have a booth to sell your art pieces. This could be paintings, drawings, jewelry, pottery or ceramics, fiber arts, your music, musical instruments, or classes at your performing or visual organization, for example.
If you are in the performing arts, you can have a booth and perform, or you don’t necessarily need to set up a booth, if you’d like to just perform. There are also options for performers/artist showing their craft. You can offer a short hourly performance for the public to enjoy. You can also work in short, group lessons for guitar or salsa dancing or watercolor painting, if your craft is one that you’d like to teach to others. We ask that you offer at least two 15-30 minute sessions during the time the market is taking place. You are welcome to solicit for new customers.
If you teach yoga or martial arts, or work with children’s organizations that put on demonstrations, you can offer short hourly demonstrations or classes for the public to take in, We are seeking ways for the market to be experiential, interactive and fun for all ages, so call us to discuss your ideas. You are welcome to solicit for new customers.
If you are part of a non-profit that does not usually sell anything related to ag or art but would like to be a part of the market, we can offer suggestions to make the tie-in. You can have a booth to serve as a fundraiser for your organization if you want to offer fresh-squeezed orange juice, quality baked goods, or other homemade or farm-fresh food items. All organizations or vendors will need to fit in to the Ag to Art theme in some manner. Political groups or advocacy groups or other nonprofits will need to find a niche to sell something related to ag or art; teaming up with an arts group or farm entity is a possibility, too. If your group can get donated produce or donated citrus to sell as a fundraiser, that would be a good fit.
Items to be sold will be subject to approval by Visit Yuma.
