There are many ways to get involved with the work we do at the Canvas Studio located inside the Littlewood Fine Art & Community Co-Op.

Audio Recording Artist and Performance Membership:

     A)  Individual Membership  $25 per month or $300 per year. Includes access to the studio by appointment, gift shop space, option of performing during Co-Op events.

     B) Group Membership $100 per month or $1200 per year. Includes studio recording time, mixing, back up of digital files, rehearsal space and time, gift shop space, option of performing during Co-Op events.

Audio Production 101: An entry level course on the physics of sound and how studio and live sound equipment works.

Audio Production 102: A deeper dive into equalization, dynamics processors, and mixing theory for live and studio environments.

Audio Production 103: The nerdiest class in the sequence, we will talk about electricity, voltages, impedance, audio consoles, how to run a studio session, and how to be ready for a sound check for a live performance.

Tech as an A2: Hands on workshops during live performances and Co-Op events as the no 2 Audio Tech (A2) for the show.

Studio Recording Sessions:

Studio recording sessions are made by appointment with your producer/engineer of choice.

Rudy Molina - Rudy has been a fixture of the local Yuma music scene for years with his group The Dune Sea Crew, putting on hip hop and rap shows all around Yuma, and DJing at Yuma night clubs and all over the west coast. Rudy is an expert in everything Rap, Hip Hop, and R&B. If you've got beats, need beats, and need your vocals recorded, Rudy is your man.

The Canvas does have some equipment available for you to come in with your own computer and instruments and record yourself! If you wish to book studio time, you must first become a Music Member of the Co Op then reserve you studio time by emailing

Bryan Rasmussen - Beginning on the violin at the age of 11, Bryan played with his high school's orchestra and jazz band, eventually adding 5 instruments to his skill set. He wrote (and still writes) original music for his high school rock band, and eventually studied music production at Berklee College of music in Boston, and the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Bryan then interned and worked for Ric Hordinski at the Monastery Studio getting the opportunity to hone his skills further by working with national artists. Bryan also became the Technical Director for the Irish Heritage Center of Cincinnati where he tech'd for all of their theatrical productions and musical performances featuring lots of Irish talent. Bryan also contracted for various AV houses such as Access Audio Inc. and C&D Audio, doing all sorts of work ranging from bar bands to theater to national touring bands. Bryan now owns his own production company, Mainstream of America Productions LLC, and is eager to bring his talents and skills to the Yuma area music scene. If you play anything from Jazz to Folk, Reggae, Ska, Punk, or Heavy Metal, your can trust your recording will turn out exactly how you hope.

Rates: $30 per hour, minimum of 2 hr blocks (negotiable)



Community Support!

We are an artist Co-Op and are funded by our members through monthly dues, class tuitions, facility and equipment rental fees, but there are also various options to help support us in our efforts .  We accept financial donations, Equipment donations, Donations of skills and donation of time.
